No change in County Councillors for Mole Valley, despite growth in LibDem vote

The results of yesterday's County Council elections show no change from the previous County Councillors elected in 2013 for the 6 County Divisions in the area covered by Mole Valley District.

Liberal Democrats Hazel Watson (Dorking Hills) and Stephen Cooksey (Dorking South & The Holmwoods) were both returned with increased majorities.

Moreover the Liberal Democrat share of the vote across all 6 Divisions rose from 28.4% in 2013 to 36.3% in 2017. In the divisions that comprise the Mole Valley Parliamentary Constituency, the Lib Dem share of the vote increaed from 28.2% to 39.7%.
