At the Council Meeting on Tuesday 9th July the Lib Dems supported the opposition motion to positively celebrate local diversity in Mole Valley. We made some amendments to ensure proper management and effective use of limited council resources and agreed to promote inclusion in all appropriate future communication.

We could not support the 3rd resolution for Rainbow Pedestrian Crossings in our town centres as we considered this would neither reflect the full range of diversity within the District nor be an effective use of local tax payer's funds. There was lively debate on the motion in the Chamber and the Lib Dem amended version was easily carried.
