Across Mole Valley, the Lib Dem share of the vote in these seats increased from 38.5% in 2018 to 45.3%
The following Lib Dem councillors retained their seats:
- Elizabeth Daly - Bookham South
- David Draper - Dorking North
- Margaret Cooksey - Dorking North
- Raj Haque - Fetcham West
- Clayton Wellman - Holmwoods
Three new Lib Dem councillors were elected
- Josie Brinker held the seat at Leatherhead North
- Charles Engel won Capel, Leigh & Newdigate from the Conservatives
- Monica Weller won Bookham North from the Conservatives
The make-up of the new Council will be: 24 Lib Dems, 10 Conservatives, 7 Independents, meaning that the Lib Dem majority increases from 3 votes to 7 votes.
