Mole Valley’s Lib Dem Council is developing ambitious plans to improve our town and complete projects that have been on hold for a long time.

For a number of years, Dorking has suffered from not having a town centre ‘master-plan’ and that has restricted the Council’s ability to seek grants and funding for much needed refurbishment projects.

Mole Valley will work in co-operation with the County Council, Dorking Town Partnership and other organisations interested in improving the town centre. Alongside this, the Council is working to complete projects that have been waiting for too long:

- Development of the Foundry project in Church Street to provide new workshops and homes;

- Repair and refurbishment of Dorking Halls

- Repairs to Pippbrook House in order to restart the process of providing a much-needed community facility there.

Mole Valley Cabinet member for Planning, Cllr. Margaret Cooksey said, “We are working hard to improve Dorking town centre to ensure that it has a secure and sustainable future.”
