Opportunity Dorking

Mole Valley Council’s Annual Plan for 2025-26 will provide resources to progress major projects in the town.
With the first phase successfully completed at Dorking Halls in December, the second phase of improvements will start in May, for five months. Obsolete electrical, mechanical and stage systems will be replaced to cut the Halls’ carbon footprint and give a better customer experience.
The essential work to repair, renovate and weatherproof the external face of Pippbrook House will continue until August. The first moves to establish the House as a community hub will begin when in a number of Dorking Halls events will be staged there and some rooms being made available for external letting.
Following significant local consultation, planning permission will be sought for a new scheme of affordable housing and workshops at The Foundry site, taking full account of local views.
