The District Council is progressing its Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan. The Lib Dem led District Council have ensured that the proposals which involved cutting down mature trees on the Westcott Road will not be taken forward. Several cycling enhancement schemes in and around Dorking will not be progressed but the four core Walking Zone schemes, including Dorking’s, will be progressed through the Phase 2 Feasibility Stage.

Cllr. Elsie Rosam said, “We will continue to update residents and will ensure that everyone has the chance to comment on all the proposals brought forward.”
