I reside locally with my husband, our two sons, and our loyal dog. As a parent of children with special needs, I intimately understand the importance of and the challenges families encounter in accessing appropriate education and support.
With a diverse background encompassing work with the elderly, children, and vulnerable adults, as well as navigating the complexities of the financial sector, I bring a wealth of experience to the table.
My passion lies in empowering our next generation, particularly those who are vulnerable or have special needs or disabilities, and in supporting our elderly population. I am dedicated to championing inclusive initiatives that benefit all generations, including accessible leisure, sports, and youth facilities.
The preservation of our green spaces, particularly our beloved Green Belt, is of utmost importance to me. I advocate for minimal development on these invaluable lands, favouring the use of brownfield sites instead. My goal is to maximize the availability of affordable housing while also advocating for environmental protection. I am committed to fighting for cleaner waters, protecting Ashtead's biodiversity, and achieving net-zero council services by 2030.
By actively listening to the concerns of our local community, I pledge to serve the people of Ashtead diligently. This includes addressing specific issues such as the proposed all-weather football pitch at the Queen Elizabeth II Recreation Grounds, Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan, and The Murreys Court.
If elected as your councillor, I will prioritise the needs of Ashtead residents and work tirelessly to ensure that our community remains vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive for generations to come. This will involve prioritising local businesses, promoting sustainable economic growth, and focusing on key areas such as healthcare, youth facilities, and suitable and affordable housing while preserving Ashtead's unique character.
