Roland Hogg for Ashtead

I have worked locally in Local Government, the NHS and for the Queen Elizabeth Foundation in the charity sector for 30+ years. For over 20 of these years I have lived in Ashtead. I know the local area and I have seen the village grow and thrive.

My working background gives good insight into how the health , charity and local government sectors can interact with residents to help and support their individual needs. I hope to use this experience to campaign on your behalf if elected as your local Councillor.

I currently work as Local Government officer in a Parks Green Spaces team. As a result I understand how valuable and important green spaces are and that they provide crucial outlets to improve all our mental and physical wellbeing needs. The Green Spaces that currently surround us define our village and the desirability to live here - they are fragile environments that are worth protecting and fighting for with local partners.

I hope to represent you in these issues and also by following Liberal Democratic policies and principles set out nationally and apply them in our beautiful local setting.
