The Government has now announced that those people who were ineligible for the £400 rebate off their electricity bills can now apply via the Gov.uk website under the "Energy Bills Support Scheme". The affected households are ones that do not have a direct contract with an electricity supplier, including many in Park Homes, almshouses, sheltered accommodation and houses of multiple occupation.

Engagement with the Government's Inspector, who is examining the plan, is being triggered via the calling of an Extra-ordinary Council meeting on 16th January. This follows indications, before Christmas, from the Secretary of State of intended changes in Government policy.
